About Us
My wife (Ditas) grew up in the Philippines and I grew up in the US. We met in 2001 while working in the same Hospital and we fell in love. During our 20 years together we returned many times to visit the Philippines on vacation and I really enjoyed the country and its wonderful people.
When the pandemic hit, we decided to retire from our jobs and pursue our passion for travel while spending quality time together experiencing the world around us!
We chose to return and explore the Philippines extensively and thought the most cost-effective way to do that was to build an Overlanding rig. We use our overland rig we call “Valentina” to travel and explore the areas more fully without hotel cost consuming a large part of our travel budget.
We founded Phil_Am Expeditions in the last quarter of 2021, and for our first two (2) years we will be traveling the Philippines discovering all the amazing places this country has to offer.
Phil_Am Expeditions’ goal is to inspire others to explore the hidden gems in the areas they travel, and to promote sustainable tourism by sharing our Overlanding experience with our online community.
